What is truth (miracle after miracle)

Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. John 18:38 It's amazing that what Pilate did, allowing Jesus to be crucified against his own better judgment, he did for his own people-pleasing purpose, yet the crucifixion of Jesus for our sins was prophesied all throughout the Hebrew Scriptures and fulfilled in this horrible event. Truth, what is truth? Indeed, what is truth? January 2, 2025, I am reporting miracle after miracle today. First miracle. My cross fell off in my room. That's not the miracle. The miracle is that the chain was not broken, the latch had come undone! So I was able to hook it back. This has never happened in my long lifetime. This may not seem like much to you (personal miracles rarely do to others) but this is amazing to me. Ever since I started wearing this pretty little coral cross after a plain chain I'd been wearing broke, I had been debating, "Should I be sleeping in this cross?" It is more likely to break if I live in it and sleep in it for months. I had been living with and sleeping in the other one for months and it broke. It had cost $2 and succeeded an earlier one that was more expensive. I had been wearing this cross for months and I naturally assumed the chain was broken, and was rebuking myself for not taking it off and putting it back on every day to keep from sleeping in it. You can think what you want, but I think that was a miracle and a demonstration of God's mercy. It's almost like he's saying to me, "Now you've been unwisely sleeping in this chain for weeks and I protected it from breaking this time, but you must not continue living and sleeping in this chain." It's not like God doesn't have enough miracles to go around, it's just that he doesn't promise to deliver us out of every unwise decision. Second miracle. I was thinking about checking the mail, and as soon as I stepped outside my back door, I saw the blue coat of the mail carrier, from the back, striding away from our building. That has never happened either. I really don't keep track of when he comes. It is also usually a female who knows where to deliver a package that comes without the apartment number on it. So it was a substitute mail carrier today. It is a miracle it was not a substitute mail carrier the day my package from my brother arrived from New Jersey. This miracle did not happen today. Well, I am beginning to believe in miracles. You may not think these are miracles, just coincidences. Well, I don't believe in coincidences. I believe in miracles. I can tell these miracles all day long and people will just scoff. Yes, that is what they do, but that's okay. I know a miracle when I see one. The question of "What is truth?" fell into my heart today. I looked it up online and this is what it said. The following is the "AI Overview": "In the Bible, truth is defined as the self-expression of God, and is a way of describing who God is. The Bible says that truth is: The way things really are. The ultimate standard and final judge of all truth. A firm display of inner essence. A stable illustration of what is inside, as real and genuine. Consistent with the mind, will, character, glory, and being of God. The Bible also says that: The Almighty is the 'God of truth.' The written Word of God is truth. Scripture is the touchstone to which all truth claims should be brought. Truth must be exercised in love and righteousness. The word "truth" comes from two Hebrew and Greek words; Hebrew: Emeth means 'firmness, stability' and appears in the Old Testament 127 times. Greek: Aletheia means "essence revealed by appearance" and appears in the New Testament 110 times." I am also believing that "God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him," based on the following reference and based on the miracles God is showing me today. I don't even think I've been as diligent as I should be, but I think God is definitely rewarding me with personal miracles, and then my brother David calls and we have a great conversation and my niece is getting ready any day now to have a baby, which is the most amazing miracle of all--the miracle of life itself. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6). "Cherry picking" and "nit picking" came to mind today and I'd kind of like to look at them for a moment. According to the Oxford Languages dictionary online, cherry picking is "the action or practice of choosing and taking only the most beneficial or profitable items, opportunities, etc., from what is available," I think especially to make a point based on an individual bias for the purpose of persuading or convincing someone of something they should think or do.E.g.,"it is an exaggeration based on the cherry-picking of facts" To nit-pick is to "find or point out minor faults in a fussy or pedantic way." E.g., "the state is nitpicking about minor administrative matters" As for cherry picking and nit picking, I do not wish to pursuethem at the present moment, but am somewhat intrigued by both of these concepts we use fairly often in casual conversation. I need to take a break now and go ride the bike. I am not sure whether or not I will pursue the topic of truth and miracles when I get back or not. I have what I choose to refer to as "Bunny Trail Syndrome" or BTS. This has been a lifelong struggle, but I do believe the Lord is going to help me overcome it.
