A place where I belong
I don't believe anything they tell me
about the weather or the price of eggs
I am done believing a word they say
From now on I will believe the Bible
And resolve to live according to that
I've had it with the announcers on air
TV or radio or anywhere
They're all the same, I don't want to hear it
I have found most of the things I believe
Are the things I read in Proverbs or Psalms
If you're wondering what this is about
I'm writing all lines with ten syllables
Not worrying about rhyme, don't have time
Just letting the thoughts roll out as they will
It's been one heck of a day, that I'll say
We got a new president, and I'm glad
Some people are angry, others are sad
I am so over caring what people think
I plan to do my best to obey God
It doesn't matter if you think I'm odd
Listen, I have a handful of people
Who like to hear me sing, and they sing along
So now I have a place where I belong
