Never Got Tired of Burritos
I have an appointment to write and I can't miss it, but I'm so tired I'm vibrating from the top of my head to the tip of my toes--tingling. I could easily have gone to bed about three hours ago (It's almost midnight now), but I had a long visit on the telephone with a certain person I hadn't spoken to for more than 15 minutes in many years. And this was just a busy day.
Started out with playing the bass at church. That's the second time I've played the bass in many years also. I've been practicing but I don't have any calluses and it takes a lot of concentration relearning something you haven't done for a long time. I love it so much. Don't get me wrong, but it does take a lot of energy. Then we all went out to eat to celebrate somebody's birthday.
I got to figure out how to eat fish twice a week now that I finally had rainbow trout for dinner at the Cracker Barrel this afternoon. Oh, my, was that good. I also had green beans and steamed broccoli, which I am not in the habit of eating on a regular basis.
Eating is a regular wilderness for me. I have gone through periods of eating certain things. Like I've eaten beef and bean burritos from Aldi with a slice of pepper jack cheese for lunch for about 10 years. People always ask me, "Is that what you eat for lunch every day?" When I say yes, they always say, "I don't like to eat the same thing every day." It's like this: If I like it, why wouldn't I want to eat it every day? Think about your pets. Don't tell me your pets won't eat the same thing every day. Well, maybe they won't, but my dog always did, and my cat too. They were very content to eat the same thing every day.
I'm not saying people should eat like a dog or a cat. I'm saying if you like it why wouldn't you want to eat it every day? It's just that we all have different personal preferences.
I had been craving that rainbow trout from Cracker Barrel for I don't know how long, and I don't know how to cook fish. I don't care for salmon, by the way, or catfish either. It always reminds me of eating fish out of Lake Shawnee with the taste of motor oil in the water.
About food, I used to eat spinach salad all the time and before that I always ate broccoli and melted cheese. I have not eaten that for a long time. At work I used to eat peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables for lunch every Monday and Friday. I did get tired of them, but I never got tired of burritos.
Well, this is short and maybe I'll return to this theme another time, but I really want to be done with this before midnight. Night, all!
