Another Storm is on the Way
A three-day week turns into two
Not many days left, just a few
But Mother Nature doesn't heed
What we want or what we need
This time we can make snow ice cream
Last time it was just a dream
Forgot about it all somehow
All we wanted was a snow plow
Another storm is on the way
Some of us can stay home and play
Buses won't have to watch for ruts
Children can drive their parents nuts
It's winter on the Kansas Plain
Think sod houses in the summer rain
Covered wagons pulled by horses
Leaving tracks that show their courses
Traversing the Oregon trail
Pre-transcontinental rail
No engines roaring across the land
We all lived on what Grandma canned
Another storm is on the way
Some of us can stay home and play
Buses won't have to watch for ruts
Children can drive their parents nuts
