Why It's Better Not to Watch the News
Finally understand why it's better not to watch the news. My dad got me a TV in 1990 so I could "know what's going on in the world." My life did not get better, just more confusing. Before that, I used to read and study and paint and play music. In the 70s I didn't even watch TV because I was out playing music all over the country
So, now that I am a follower of Jesus Christ it makes even more sense. Because you can only affect the world around you anyway, not the (whole) world, except that if everyone affected their own world in a godly way, we would see the ripple effect in the (whole) world.
Therefore, it makes more sense, rather than focusing on what's "going on in the world," focus what's going on in the WORD (of God). Instead of watching the (bad news) watch the GOOD NEWS of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Quit trying to change the world by bashing politicians and start getting our hearts right with God and living where he placed us.
That's all that matters.
