God Save New York City Please

I shared this on Facebook this morning, and since we are seeing so many posts about the New York City mayoral race, I thought I would start with this. There was a beautiful video of New York City during the Christmas season--a parade, I think--showing all the glories of beautiful New York City, and I said it wouldn't be like that if Mamdani won, and some people asked me, in typical ignoramus fashion, "Why, does he hate Christmas?" So, this was my reply. "Because he doesn't believe in capitalism or police and wants to decriminalizes prostitution, and because the people who have made New York great like in this video are going to leave if he wins this race. New York will be like Cuba--not this New York that we're seeing here. Because he is a declared "democratic socialist," because he's never held a job, because if he gets in, he will ruin New York and make it into a Third World city and America into a Third World country, because he's against Israel, he's antisemitic, because he thinks that city-run grocery stores are a good idea (we recently saw one fail in Kansas City), because of his ideas are communism, not capitalism, and will not produce or nurture the beautiful New York that we are seeing here. He will turn it into a crime infested slum...need I continue?" I have seen Muslims against Mamdani (Muslims surely would not approve of decriminalizing prostitution), Jews against Mamdani (surely, at least the Jews who support Israel would not be for this candidate who said he would arrest Netanyahu if he set foot in the city), and, oh, just now, I see that he wants to shut down Rikers Island and release up to 7,000 criminals back into New York City. Have the people of New York City simply lost their minds? What is the explanation for this insanity? I googled that and here's what AI responded: "The idea that electing Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City is ‘insane’ is a subjective and pejorative characterization, not a factual explanation. You can google it yourself and see what it says, but everything about it is so awful, I can only hope this means the Lord is coming quickly to fulfill the prophetic promises in Matthew 24, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and the book of Revelation. One can only pray that people will come to their senses before it's too late. God help us. For real. I am writing early today because I'm going to be participating in a "Come to Jesus" meeting in a few hours, so I'm asking you who pray to please pray that the people of New York don't elect this fanatical phony, even if they choose Cuomo, instead. Personally, I would be voting for the Guardian Angel guy. I am praying that the demonic spirits fighting so hard against conservatism in New York and the nation will destroy each other and fall, in Jesus' Name, Amen. Gotta go ride the bike.
