With Friends

Got to spend time with a friend today And I can't say that every day Just to sit and talk and see their face Is a blessing time can't erase God is the best friend of all And He'll be there when you fall But we were made for others Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers With friends you don't have to put on airs Friends don't pry into your affairs But you say what you need to say And you pray what you need to pray Friends are still friends when they don't agree Friends don't give friends the third degree Friends care about what you've been through Friends won't give you the old one-two Friends will give hugs if you want one Friends are better than a home run Friends will always be your friend Distance makes no difference in the end Friends will still love you when you're in a bad mood Friends will still love you when you say a bad word Friends won't hang up on you when they're mad Friends won't insult you and make you sad With friends you don't have to put on airs Friends don't pry into your affairs But you say what you need to say And you pray what you need to pray "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17).
