Peanuts Make You Sleepy
I didn't know peanuts were supposed to make you sleepy, but I just learned that they are. How did I go through my entire life without knowing this?
You can look it up online for all the nutritional info about this, but I just experienced it, and am just writing to say you ought to try it. They're supposed to be good for your sleep.
All I know is I was tired when I got home from work, but after eating a few peanuts I just wanted to go to sleep. And that is what I want to do right now.
I just wanted to go read myself to sleep under the electric blanket. But on the way back from the kitchen, I noticed my laptop wasn't turned off, and then, instead of logging off, I decided to sit down and tell you this. I hope it doesn't wake me up because I don't want to be waked up. All I want to do is brush my teeth and go get under the covers.
I don't want to know what's on the news, I don't want to look up rhyming words, I just want to go to sleep. I hope I don't have sleeping sickness; however, if that's what this is, it's not the least bit unpleasant.
And I hope you aren't worrying about anything tonight. I woke up this morning freaking out because I had not received my sticker for my license tag for my vehicle. I even called the Department of Revenue to verify that I had paid and ask them what to do if I didn't get my sticker today because tomorrow is the first of April. I suppose you already know that I have the whole month before the thing becomes urgent, but I had forgotten, as I forget so many things.
The lady at the county court house told me mine had been processed on Friday (I mailed it in weeks ago) and would probably go out in today's mail. Well, lo and behold, it was in the mail this afternoon. Needless to say, I was very pleased. I will say that the sticker was a bit tricky to get off the letter. I don't remember it being so difficult in the past. I guess they're trying to save money because the thing is very thin this year. Anyway, now, that is one less thing to worry about.
My Scripture for today on my Scripture calendar for 2025 is, "Let all that you do be done in love" (I Corinthians 16:14), so I kind of want to leave you with that. That's a pretty good Scripture for any day. And I think I will have to go buy more salted peanuts so I can sleep better going forward (I just hate that expression, "going forward," it sounds so newsy). Don't you get tired of the news? I do.
So, I'm going to see what it's like to go to bed super early for a change, and probably I might have something more to talk about tomorrow besides peanuts, although I am always blessed to learn something new. I hope you are too. Goodnight.
