Idolatry

God has made it very clear For those who have ears to hear Love this world and Satan's ways Or put God first all our days Love the Lord with all your heart, That is what God said to do But why is this commandment Obeyed by so very few? Idolatry, that's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God That's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God Because we replace our love for Him With our love for other things We leave our first love and Sacrifice the peace that Jesus brings Like Demas who abandoned Paul because He loved this present world We spend our days indulging our flesh Instead of renewing our mind in His word Idolatry, that's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God That's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God Have you proclaimed the good news of Jesus And been unheeded by those you love? Have you declared His faithfulness And His salvation only to be snubbed? We could have peace if people would stop fighting Every tragedy, every problem, every crime Is because of someone putting something above God in their heart and soul and mind Idolatry, that's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God That's what's wrong with the world It's everybody loving everything but God
