Forever Yesterday Today

Sometimes I feel like I've had my heart broken about as many ways as a heart can be broken. But then I think, how many hearts have I broken? Maybe one or two, maybe three? How many people I thought loved me, but they simply walked away? And did anyone love me enough to fight for me? Well, Jesus loved me enough to die for me. That should be enough, shouldn't it? I've broken my share of hearts Maybe you have too We tear each other all apart I know it and so do you But now one day I met a Man I'd avoided all my days In ways I could not understand He captured me by his gaze There was only one thing I knew When I first heard the call That what He wants me most to do Is make Him my all in all The brokenhearted everywhere Await someone to hold them But God Who always answers prayer Also intends to mold them He's called the Lover of My soul Most don't know Him in that way His promise is to make you whole Forever, yesterday, today Forever, yesterday, today He's never changed, He never will Forever, yesterday, today He loved you then, He loves you still "He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3) "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit" (Psalm 34:18).
