Not of This World

Why so much hate in the world? Why so much evil, so much deceit? Why so much murder in the heart? Why do people lie and cheat? In a world alive with beauty In a loud or quiet place In a world where God gave music And a little child's embrace Because your sin will find you out It waits at the door for you But His kingdom is not of this world And everything He said was true You can stay in the mess you made Or you can rise to a higher place You can go back to your old ways Or you can get back in the race You can believe the truth Or you can believe the lie But if you choose to follow Him You'll be ready when you die Because your sin will find you out It waits at the door for you But His kingdom is not of this world And everything He says is true "He who hates, disguises it with his lips, And lays up deceit within himself; When he speaks kindly, do not believe him, For there are seven abominations in his heart; Though his hatred is covered by deceit, His wickedness will be revealed before the assembly" (Proverbs 26:24-26).
