Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
"Let not your heart be troubled."
These are the words I got from the Lord just now. They are from John 14, but they just came to my heart. I hope they help you. They helped me. Because I know God spoke them to me.
I don't need to go into why I needed to hear them so much, but I did. Somewhere there is also a passage that says something like, "Do not be weary in well-doing." Well, here it is:
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9).
Well, I am thankful for many things today, but most of all for salvation that comes from God. It seems like everything else we find happiness in is sort of like ornaments hanging from a tree, but the tree is Jesus. Without the tree, the ornaments are just --ornaments.
I have only a few minutes today because of poor planning. I won't go into it, but I will never plan to do my laundry on the same night as I have my home group.
I was in a bad mood anyway, this afternoon. I won't go into that either, but now, in the presence of the Lord, it's like, he lifts the burden, he takes our burdens when we cast them on him.
"Cast all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7). I wrote a song called, "I Cast All My Cares On You" which the Lord literally gave me, word for word. They don't always come complete like that, but this one did.
Nobody cares about my songs, but the Lord cares for me. And he cares for you. and if you don't know the Lord in such a way that you know that he cares for you, perhaps you just need to put your trust in God, let him forgive you of your sins and receive his mercy and believe that Jesus died in your place and rose again and sent his spirit to live in you. It's the only way to find complete peace.
I'm going to close now so I can go get my clothes out of the dryer and fold them and get to my home group. God bless you and goodnight. Love
