People and Politics
I am tired and need to get some sleep. Not at all adjusted to being back in school, and neither are the kids. We are getting there but I need sleep. So, I'm going to take a nap, if possible.
I have one main thing on my mind right now: people should not divide over politics. It's so stupid. People should think of others as people, not political positions, like statues or cardboard stand-up dolls to knock over and deface.
We are dealing with flesh and blood human beings just like ourselves whom we should treat the way we want to be treated. Period. All this hostility and hatred and finger-pointing is anti-American and it's also anti-social. It's evil, really.
In a couple of days, I will probably write a little more than I have the past couple of days because of being kind of over-scheduled this week, but in the mean-time that is just something I want to put out there.
People are people, that is all. People should treat each other with love and respect. Obviously, this is something our current culture seems to have completely forgotten. I am not against discussion about different points of view, but we don't have to destroy other people in the process. If anyone can't see the insanity, the horror and the sinfulness of this, their spiritual eyes are most certainly failing them.
People talk about how awful things are right now. Well, they've been awful ever since, well, ever since forever, but any time past the Garden of Eden has been pretty bad. I wonder sometimes how we compare to the people God destroyed in the flood.
But don't say anything about sin or judgment or accountability or you will be scandalized in one form or another. You will be unfriended, shamed, gossiped about, rejected, outcast, at least. We all know of much worse ways people have been treating each other since time immemorial and are still doing it.
Oh, but everyone who does all these abusive practices seem to think they are so compassionate and kind. I don't want to talk about this anymore right now. I need a little catnap.
