Take Care of Your Teeth!

Took longer at the dentist that usual, so I don't have much time to write tonight. I have to go back for two fillings on Tuesday. At this point, I think I have more fillings than teeth in my mouth, especially when you look at the X-rays. I shall have to start brushing and flossing in the morning even though I don't eat breakfast before leaving for work. I had read somewhere that if you did that thoroughly once a day it was enough, but apparently it isn't. And even if I did that it would not completely prevent cavities. I mean when I was a kid did I have any idea that I would be getting fillings at my age? No, I did not. I don't know if I just assumed I'd have false teeth by now or what. I do not want false teeth, I really don't. So, obviously, I will do the best I can to keep the rest of them in my mouth. Mr. Tooth Decay. Remember Mister Tooth Decay? Probably most of you don't. If you are interested you can look him up online. There are some old TV commercials, looks like. Well, I am thankful for the teeth I have, I am thankful not to have dentures, and I will do the best I can at brushing and flossing morning and night! I went for a very long time this time without any cavities. I suppose this won't be the last time. There are a couple of spots on the watch list, the doctor said. Best to get them while they're small. I saw Patti Smith on a video last night, I think, and she looks old, but she's the same age as me (ha, ha, that's supposed to be funny). You probably don't even know who she is. I don't know that much about her, but she's a singer and a songwriter and a poet. You probably wouldn't know any of her songs. I don't, not without further research. I just know the name. On the other hand, maybe you do know who she is. She was asked if she had any advice for young people, and she said, "Don't ask me for advice," which, of course, got a laugh and was funny and endearing. Anyway, the only thing I remember her saying was, "Take care of yourself," and, "Take care of your teeth," so I just want to agree with that right here, and now I am interested in finding out what her music sounds like. And this may be all I have for today.
