No Kings?
I never cease to be amazed by the ignorance of people, and the "No Kings" movement I see as the silliest movement in recent history. Each time they have another one it becomes more and more obvious to me that the main king they oppose is the King of Kings. The division that is becoming more and more well defined in this age is the division between the righteous and the unrighteous, the godly and the ungodly.
Everyone knows these rallies are nothing more than anti-Trump hatred on display, but even more ridiculous are the accusations of fascism and Nazism and God only knows what other name-calling they apply when everyone also knows that if there was no freedom of speech, no Constitution, no Bill of Rights, there would not even be any "No Kings" rallies, because they would not be allowed.
So why do these people spend their life demonstrating this way?
I also wonder what the people in England feel about these demonstrations. I was just reading in "Against the Machine: The Unmaking of Humanity" by Paul Kingsnorth in his chapter called "The Nation and the Grid" how he felt about the monarchy over there, about how he was sad when he heard of the Queen's passing.
My mother was English and I grew up looking at pictures of Prince Charles and Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip and Prince Margaret. My mom was English. What would you expect? You can say what you want about the monarchy in England, whether the Queen was just a "figurehead" or whether she actually had authority. They have a constitution and a parliamentary system much like we have in America, but I bet my mother would be laughing at this idea of "No Kings" rallies.
She did become very liberal in her old age, but still, she was a Brit, and yeah, I just think she'd be laughing about this. I am certainly laughing about it. I am not going to go on and on about how previous presidents have done their own versions of the things the left is accusing Trump of doing in terms of executive orders and such. We've dealt with that all along. I will simply never forget 2020, and nobody should ever forget it. Anyway, how could we ever forget it?
So as long as they can tell people they can't go to church, that they have to wear masks at work, that they have to be six feet away from everyone at the grocery store, that they have to follow foot prints on the floor in government buildings, that they have to get vaccinated or lose their job, that they have to get the government healthcare or else be fined, please, Democrats, don't tell me about how President Trump is acting like a "King." Give me a break.
As far as I can see these rallies are just the modern form of people saying, "'We will not have this man to reign over us'" (Luke 19:14). The majority of people don't want anyone to "reign over" them, not even God. They want to be God and may want to reign over others, but do not want anyone, not even God, to reign over them. It's that simple from my perspective.
They are ruled by their hatred of a man for many reasons. Whatever the reasons, what's ruling and reigning in their heart more than anything else is their hatred for this man, and that is nothing to be proud of. They don't like the fact that Trump has reversed or is in the process of reversing many of the restrictions and other actions of the previous president.
Since we do live in a Constitutional Republic and not a pure Democracy, the mob will not rule in this country, but these people do have the right of free speech or they wouldn't be going around carrying these signs all over the place. And they should be thankful for it. They should be thankful for all the freedoms we have here in America instead of bashing it, and, by the way, it never needed to be "fundamentally changed," in the words of another president whose name I'll let you guess.
There is no King but Jesus, ultimately, but most people don't want Jesus. They want to be lawless. That's what they really want. So, I'm just sharing how I view this activity that I think is nothing but a demonstration of hatred for a man who has a huge following who wants to "make America great." He's not perfect but he's doing his best to get things back to some kind of normalcy after all the insanity of the past two Democratic presidencies. And I rest my case. Have a good evening.
