How They Will Know We Are His Disciples

We should all do more. Individually we all fall short. I am not telling anybody where to go to church or to go to church at all. God's word does say not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is especially as we see the day approaching...and there's a reason for that. We need each other and God designed us to work together as a body. This has never changed. I invite people to church all the time. You can't help anyone who doesn't want help. Saved people know the truth. It is their responsibility to obey it.

What changing churches has to do with it is God wants us to be committed to each other because we are "members" of one another and when we leave with unresolved issues we halt the work of God in our relationships. We belong to one another. Jesus was close, tight-knit with 12 people. Intimately connected. People are afraid of this. They would rather just be "me and Jesus." We should reach out but if people leave, people leave. They have their reasons and that's between them and God, but I know from recovery and 12-step programs that chasing after people is not a productive use of time. God respects their free will and so must I. God's plan is they will know we are his disciples because of our love for one another.
