Encouragement for God's musicians and worshipers

Encouragement for God's musicians and worshipers.

Played the piano over at the Hospice House today from a book with lots of inspirational songs and plenty of hymns.  Talking to his sister in the sitting room yesterday, found out there was at least one person in there younger than me dying.  Playing got me to thinking how many beautiful songs have been written including how many inspirational and spiritual songs, and how glad I am I didn't wait until I was very old and dying to start thinking about God.

The cool thing was that later on a volunteer named Les came into mom's room where my brother Michael and I were hanging out with mom (who should be going back home with Michael tomorrow three days  after surgery to a broken thigh bone - hospital threw her out, but that's another story).

Les said he was in the room next door with a man not too responsive but when I was playing he began to respond and listen and smile. He said it was "pretty special."  Made me glad. Not because I'm special for playing spiritual songs at the hospice house but because God was doing something for that man and brings back to my memory where the psalmist David wrote, "Teach my hands to war... and my fingers to fight..." Psalm 144:1

What you do makes an eternal difference.
