He Comforts Those in Need

I made a discovery today. Sometimes I don't want to sit still because it just hurts when I close my eyes. And I wonder if I'll be able to hear God over the ringing in my ears. And today He reminded me, "You can't carry the weight of this world. But I can."

I love knowing that all my trying to say and do the right things and show myself and everyone else how well I'm doing does not move Him. That He so much prefers my honesty.

And in that place I found to be by myself with God today, I kept hearing this line from one of the songs we sing in church: "He comforts those in need," and along with that His faithful manifest presence and His peace that passes understanding. I just want to share with you all that He is so real and He is so good.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
