I Just Want to See the Horses

I Just Want to See the Horses June 14, 2015 I am very concerned about the division in our country. I don't think we can survive it unless we have a major religious revival. I just saw a guy on Facebook talking about the "No Kings" events today. I am not even going to talk about all the rioting that's going on in Los Angeles. And now this "No Kings" movement is sprouting up all over. He said we used to be under King Jesus, and that's where we needed to be again, with which, of course, I totally agree. If that would happen, we could all be united again, "under God, indivisible." But we are not that now. Far from it. Today was Flag Day. Well, you wouldn't be able to detect that from the "No Kings" events at the Capitol today. Not even sure what all the people are upset about except they don't like conservative politics, and they don't like Trump. They came from all over the state to protest President Trump. Meanwhile, he was hosting the all day Army Grand Parade in Washington, D.C. in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. At some point I turned on the TV to RealAmericasVoice (RAV) that televised the parade. The best part to me was when they had a review of history. They had a large group of what looked like British soldiers during the American Revolution. It was breathtaking. The Americans, we know, did not wear those beautiful red uniforms. I am quite sure the British wore those uniforms. But they sure looked good in the parade. They went through the history of the army from the Revolutionary period to the present day, but I liked best the Civil War period featuring the US Cavalry. I learned by looking it up online that there were 11 horses, two mules and one dog in that group. The best part to me of the whole event was when they were charging in on horseback, and I wanted to see that again. I found a video of the livestream that I hope has that portion of the parade in it, and I can see it again. Horses make everything seem sane to me. Of course we are all for freedom of speech and peaceful demonstrations. It's just that that is not what we are seeing. I will watch the news later to see if our peaceful demonstration at the Capitol was in fact peaceful. I hope it was. That would be great. They certainly have not been in L.A. all week. What a shame what they're doing. Just let me watch the army birthday parade and let me see the horses. I just want to see the horses. It is clear that the nation is split. I don't know if you can say "in half." I don't know if it's half and half. But the divisions are very well defined. For example, you have people who don't believe in borders versus people who want borders. It really doesn't make any sense to me, but human beings always have a lot of rationalization for whatever they do. What really needs to happen is one side has to win and one side has to lose. When you have such polarization, there just does not seem to be any way to meet in the middle. That is supposedly what the Supreme Court is there for, but even the Supreme Court can't be trusted anymore. I think what the man said is really the best assessment I have heard. We need to get under King Jesus. John Adams said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Essentially, that is probably what all this chaos is about. The people who don't want to believe in the Christian gospel are saying, "We will not have this man to reign over us" (Luke 19:14). I can almost hear the protests right now. In my head I can hear them and so can you. America was founded to provide for religious freedom, but not for chaos. The hateful division that we're seeing is about people simply being rebellious and wanting everybody to believe the way they do. People can't even talk to their family members if they don't hold the same political views. It's very ugly and very evil. And people really should be ashamed of themselves for behaving this way. But no one seems to be ashamed of themselves. They're just loud and proud taking to the streets, wreaking havoc, looting and burning and spitting and hitting, systematically destroying our country. I hope and pray that our law enforcement can get it under control. This, of course, will not happen without the people who are creating the chaos and the confusion. And all they know how to do is blame Donald Trump. Well, I guess I'm not going to get to see the horses again tonight, but I still have the image in my head as the beautiful creatures came down the street with their riders aloft in the uniform of the times. I saw their beautiful heads, some with blazes and some with stars, some with neither, lifting their beautiful feet together in precision. Not mechanical at all, but coordinated. The horses had to be trained to walk in a parade in formation. They had to learn not to be "spooked," not to start bucking or running. Why can't we humans learn to walk together in unity? Well, I think that man in the video said it best. We need to get back under King Jesus. Yes. That was the best thing I saw today. Even if I don't get to see the horses again.
