Like a Butterfly on the Highway
Like a Butterfly on the Highway
"Still in Nashville, I was driving on highway 66 on the way home from a job interview. I had on a flowered skirt, with the colors of aquamarine blue, spring green, magenta, black and yellow. I was driving the van and smoking a joint. Suddenly a big, beautiful butterfly hit the wing of the van and sailed in the window. . I heard it thump. It landed on my orange engine cover and slowly flapped its wings until it died.
"It shook and convulsed a little before it finally expired. As I was looking at it, I noticed the colors. They were the same as the ones I was wearing. I believe it was the Lord telling me I was going the wrong way – that I was in danger, like a butterfly on the highway. I cried as I watched it die and God awoke something inside me."
