You guys. Donald Trump. Really? A reality television star. Really?Is he really the kind of person we want leading our country? Rude and crude and loves to insult everyone? What makes you think he can actually be president? He's just a performer. It's just scary to me. But if this is what we need right now to wake us up, I guess...

I was reading in a kid's book (2nd grade) and it had a letter from a kid at camp praising disgusting practices like sticking new kids' heads in the toilet. I asked the boy about it. He said, "I think it's funny."

Is this the kind of people we want to produce? With complete disregard for respect of others, those in authority, propriety, even common courtesy?

I am incredulous. But on the other hand, not surprised. If that makes any sense...

By the way any possible writers of children's literature out there? Please get writing. Our kids need something better.

It's the "killing fields of greed in America" again. Thanks, Roger Hubert for that description. It was in reference to the use of pesticides toxic to bees but it also applies to the commercialization of disrespect used by writers of television programming and books for children. It applies to many other areas of life as well but that is enough for now.
