I Love Charlie Kirk

Today they laid Charlie Kirk to rest. I don't have a lot of time today because I was working on something else for the last hour or so and I have to be at a prayer meeting in 45 minutes. I just want to say something in honor of Charlie Kirk. I still can't believe he's gone, but I am glad to hear that he did not suffer, that he died instantly, and I know that he is now in the presence of the Lord. The response around the world to his assassination has been utterly astounding. I heard Charlie say recently that Turning Point, USA is a movement bigger than all of us, and I believe that. I never heard more truth and more biblical wisdom coming from such a young man the world chooses only to refer to as a "conservative activist." He was so much more than that. And I think we are seeing some of the fruit of his life just beginning to unfold around the world. He was a Christian martyr. Some have said the first on American soil. Christians have been slaughtered all over the world, but not here. Until September 10, 2025. As a culture, we are way past the "cultural Christianity" of even recent decades, but not since 2020 have we seen so much confusion in our world, so much anti-Christ spirit resounding around the world and in the U.S. But the Bible says where sin abounds, grace much more abounds, and I believe we are on the precipice of revival and even another great awakening. People accused Charlie of hate, but the truth is more that they hated what he said. What he said was based on truths from the Bible, on which the whole of Western Civilization was founded. He hated what Christ has caused us to hate: sin. Believers in Jesus Christ believe that he saved us from our sin. I don't believe anything in America will stay the same after this. Even in my home town, churches have joined together for 10 days of prayer and fasting. My small fellowship has started Sunday night prayer meetings. Following Jesus is not a fad, a religion, or a political philosophy. It is a decision to commit to the truth about God, that everyone needs to know. One of my favorite verses is John 13:35. "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). And even though I didn't know him personally, he is my brother, and I love him. I mourn his passing, but I look forward to spending eternity with him and the multitudes he discipled, along with the multitudes that have gone on before him and those that will go on since. I just heard Mrs. Erica Hall forgive Charlie's assassin, based on the words of Jesus from the Cross. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). That is all I have to say about Charlie for now. God bless you and God bless America.
