Now Go, Darkness Flooding In
As much as you wish you could,
You can't go back to the past
The clock's hands don't move that way
Nor can they make good times last
Memories are all that's left
To remind you where you've been
And it's strange how they linger
Like ghosts living deep within
Without asking permission
Dancing in and out they go
In a way like hummingbirds
Food is there, that's all they know
God has made them to follow
The instincts he placed inside
But to you he gave a brain
To think, to choose not to hide
Now go, darkness flooding in
I'll not let you win the day
Because the light of Jesus
Came to send you far away
"All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You
They shall sing praises to
Your name" (Psalm 66:4).
