Parenting moment I shall not have missed:

A little girl tells me her dad had to go out on call at 1:00 a.m. Christmas Eve. Obviously came back tired. But since it was Christmas morning, Daddy must get up, right? To accomplish that end, she and her four siblings jumped on him to wake him up!
