Are You Possessed of the Spirit?

"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." John 3:8 NIV).

God gave me this verse day before yesterday. I don't actually believe we are "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" if we are born of the Spirit. That's a very applicable phrase if you are, say, struggling with addiction or something, but for people who are in love with God, it's not quite the same. We will always be frustrated if we think always of "results." We relate intimately with him, he works out his plan. It may even feel like we're doing the same thing over and over (praying, reading the Bible, going to church, repenting, loving others) and the DEVIL will accuse us and tell us we're not going anywhere, but the truth is the LORD is like a whirlwind (tornado, cyclone) in our life if we are possessed of his Spirit. Something to think about. His promises are yea and amen. We commit to him, the "results" are his responsibility. Some people will of course want to argue about this. And that's okay too. It is thought provoking because God gave it to me and it may not resonate with everybody the same way, but when the LORD speaks to you through his word, you know it's true.
