'At The End of the Day'

"At the end of the day," they like to say, And they say it with such aplomb Whatever they say, whether black, white or gray They say it as if dropping a truth bomb The wisdom of the world is void of truth The Good Book tells me what I need to know In contrast to the devil's gloom and doom The Bible shows me something apropos At the end of the day, when I lay down I will sleep in peace knowing come what may There's a God in heaven who cares for me And I'm with Him no matter what they say The truth is the world is passing away And days pass faster than they did before Youth flies quickly by without remedy As the song has said,'Time shall be no more' At the end of the day, when I lay down I will sleep in peace knowing come what may There's a God in heaven who cares for me And I'm with Him no matter what they say 1 Corinthians 3:19 1 John 2:17
