'The intentional dumbing down of culture...'
"The intentional dumbing down of culture..." John MacArthur
Scholars and scientists know that intelligence increases with developing competency at many different skills. In case you haven't noticed (which is impossible),skills no longer necessary today that once were taught at home or at school include...
Tying shoes - Velcro has made it unnecessary.
Digital watches - no need to learn to tell time.
Digital cash registers - no need to learn to make change.
No teaching of keyboarding in school anymore. So everyone can hunt and peck.
Not teaching cursive anymore - Another useful skill gone down the drain.
So what are people doing with all this extra time not used to learn useful skills that develop brains and increase competency?
Playing video games (oh, I know, you can probably find a reason to defend them, I just haven't found one), streaming music, watching videos...for sure, not learning to reason, spell, write or communicate; don't need that to push buttons, I guess.
