The Church Needs To Repent

Not sure why politics are so easy to get on here and argue about. I also used to love to read true crime books. I've decided it's just our nature to like to argue. Not saying I'm better for not getting involved in arguments about politics or for not reading true crime books. Just saying I have a feeling we're going to be moving past this in a few days no matter what we think about all these things.
I feel just as strongly as many of you do about abortion and biblical marriage. Just not quite sure why we focus so much on those two things and leave the rest of it. Is it because it's easier to point the finger at other people's sins than to deal with our own?
Adrian Rogers recently said the same thing I'm always being criticized for, so I feel energized to say it here.
The church needs to repent.
Instead, when church people get together to pray they just point out and "repent" of the sins of "the nation." That's why I don't go for those kind of meetings. You think you've really done something spiritual when you go to those mass prayer meetings with people you would never see anywhere else nor desire to spend time with. Because Jesus is there for sure, and that always makes you feel good. But what have we really accomplished? I just don't get that, people. I really don't.
