You Get To Be Yourself
Since two "friends" unfriended me I have added many more than I had before!
Just some things to think about:
What is it that makes us "like" versus "love" somebody's post?
(no condemnation here)
What is it that makes us say "God bless you" or "Best to you" instead of "Love, (your name)" on written communication?
Is it fear of being taken advantage of? Fear of being taken for granted? Is it fear that someone is trying to "hit" on us?
Is it fear that someone might think you don't have anything better to do than to promptly respond to their text message?
What if we just all of a sudden started freely giving and receiving guileless, winsome, childlike and innocent love?
Not talking about love that is expecting something from the other person (especially if that person has some fame or notoriety).
Not self-promoting or insecure love, but just plain love. Wouldn't that be something?
What is it that makes us hold out a hand versus accept a hug?
What is it that makes us put somebody on hold indefinitely?
Is it fear they will need too much from us?
I know someone I don't like to reply quickly to. I don't like to call back right away. Because I know all they are going to do is feel sorry for themselves and tell me all about their troubles. But they never get better. That's, I guess, a good reason for distancing yourself from others. And I'm sure there are more.
Anyway, just thinking. If you want to add a comment feel free. And feel free not to. You get to be yourself.
