'I thinked enough.'
First Grade Wisdom:
"I thinked enough."
Today we were writing two columns of words, one of words that ended in a long "o" sound and another of words that ended with the sound of "oat/ote." I had a list I was building but was not yet sharing it with the children, giving them some time to think of some on their own. I told them that is what I wanted them to do.
In a few seconds this one little girl said, "I thinked enough." She was ready for me to share my list with her. But I just enjoyed the sentiment with which she delivered that statement, and thought to myself, "You know, I can relate to that. There are times in my life when I feel exactly like that. How about you?
